Master of Science in Engineering Systems (MSES) Off Campus
        You may pursue a Master of Science degree in engineering systems with a project or thesis option in Engineering Management at the Collin College Higher Education Center (CHEC) beginning with the spring 2010 semester. Two five-week courses will be offered each semester with classes held on Friday evening from 5:30 pm to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The classes scheduled for spring 2010 are MSES 5130.777 Product Reliability and Quality which will meet from January 19 to February 20 and MSES 5040.777 Analytical Methods which will meet from March 5 to April 10.

You may pursue a Master of Science degree in engineering systems with a Project or thesis option in Construction Management at the Collin College Higher Education Center beginning with the fall 2010 semester. Two five-week courses will be offered each semester with classes held on Friday evening from 5:30 pm to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Degree Requirements
        Your program is planned under the direction of a chosen major professor prior to completion of the first semester of graduate study. When the degree plan is approved by the graduate dean, you will be admitted to candidacy.

  • The 30-semester-hour thesis option consists of 6 semester hours of thesis credit and 24 semester hours of graduate course work.
  • The 33-semester-hour non-thesis options consists of 3 semester hours of project-in-lieu-of-thesis and 30 semester hours of graduate course work.

Admission Requirements
        In addition to the following program requirements, you must meet the admission requirements of the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies. Program requirements include:

  • Submitted GRE scores (If you graduate from a program accredited by ABET, Inc., GRE scores are not required.)
  • Undergraduate major in engineering or technology (If you do not have the equivalent of an undergraduate major in engineering technology at UNT, including appropriate physics, chemistry and calculus courses, the time required for your degree completion could be longer than average.
  • Completed graduate application
